Ugie Ododua is a rich traditional culture heritage of Benin Kingdom and is celebrate by His Royal Majesty, OmoN’ObaN’EdoUkuAkpolokpolo, Ewuare II in the Oba Palace, Benin City.
The sixth day has the highest points of the ceremony, that is the day Oba Ewuare II take part in the traditional dance with the seven Masquerades, Chiefs Osa and Osuan.
The ceremony which last 14 days is to commemorate the return of Oranmiyan, the son of Ododua to Benin Kingdom, and the beginning of the Oba Era in the Kingdom.
